Accounting class talked about ethics.
What would you do if you find a man dying when you also are facing life-or-death situation?
What would you do when your ethics confront with those of the organizations?
What would you do when you have plenty of reasons to turn around and not to do what you believe is right for yourself?
The reality is that your ethics are tested no matter if you are ready to take it or not. The moment of decision shows up in front of you without any advance notice. You have to face the problem and make a decision immediately. Analysis and fair evaluation do not help you. What would you do in that situation?
My understanding is that this is not just about ethics, but about my own values, or principles based on which I live. When I see a man dying in a snowy mountain and when I passed by facing potential risks of death myself, would I offer a hand to him even if it most probably risks my own life?
The answer for now would be no, sadly and realistically. But, I believe there are moments I would answer yes. I would like to be aware when I will do so. I would like to have my principles are something I cannot give up even for my life, just as a number of old Japanese did.

ok, here is my blog. Actually I have been blogging in Japanese for quite a while but I just came up with an idea; why don't you write in English? It might help me organize my thoughts. It might also entertain some of my close friends, especially those who in London.
Since this is an open space, I should avoid too much personal information or specific names of people around me. Well, let me think if I should use dummy names or just initials. It does not matter as for today.
Me, tipsyakey lives in Boston... currently. Born and raised in Japan, my long travel started in May 2007, a few days before my 27th birthday. Leaving my beloved hometown, I moved to Honolulu, HI. Four months later, I moved to London and ended up living there for over three years. Then, somehow, I came to Boston 2 months ago. I love both Honolulu and London. They gave me a lot of unbelievable encounters with lots of fantastic people.
Now I am doing my MBA here, appreciating my final year of study, and being overwhelmed by a number of courseworks coming one after another. I hope I will find the time to write something here from time to time.
